I have post-nasal dripping. Yellow-greenish solid stuff come out of my mouth after a lot of effor on my part[feels like they drop from behind of my nose] and seem that they have been formed there for a period of several days. I also feel like my sinuses are filled with fluids. I always have problem breathing by my nose. One of my nostrils [they switch] is always obstructed, and sniffing or its opposite act [forcing air out of your nose] never helps to open the obstrution.I also get headaches sometimes and feel this is because of the pressure in my head due to this solid stuff being behind my nose or maybe my sinuses. I wanna know does anyone have this type of problem, or has anyone had it and benn cured by a doctor for this? Also, please tell me what kind of doctor I should see, and how much would I end up paying. No insurance here, and tight on money:((

A lot of times, post nasal drip and sinusitis is allergy related. The best way to treat allergies is to avoid the allergen. If you can ID the allergen(s) and stay away from them you may get better.

Other then that, you can try over the counter meds and therapies like antihistamines, decongestions and nasal/sinus rinse therapies.

I finally quit smoking after 12 years, and I have been using Zyban to do so. I am so happy something is finally assisting me, however for the last 2 days I have had a horrible post nasal drip. Did this happen to any of you? And how do I get rid of it??

Never smoked, but have long suffered post nasal drip.

Try Mucinex it works like magic. Take 2 tabs every 12 hours with lots of water. Keep well hydrated. Mucinex works to loosen & thin mucous.

My daughter has just started a runny nose and I am afraid she is getting a cold. We are leaving for beach vacation in a few days. She is 9 months old, what can a baby take in case she does come down with something?

Don’t give cold medications. They’re not safe for infants, and they just prolong the cold.

Drip saline nasal drops into her nostrils and use an aspirator to suck everything out. She’ll probably hate it, but it really does shorten the duration of the cold. Especially when she can’t blow her own nose.

I have this buttock muscle pain for about 6 days, I can’t even walk. This was after my allergies and sinus infection. I use a cane to walk now.

Buttock pain and difficulty walking sounds a lot like sciatica.
In all probability, not at all related to the sinus infection.

I do tend to get sinus problems… but how do i know if my sore throat is from post nasal drip … or an actual throat infection? how would i know if i need antibiotics?

Check out your phlem if it’s greenish get the meds. I always spit the phlem out no matter what. Sore throat just gargle.
