Does a runny nose have anything to do with a baby teething?

My 9 month old woke up from a short nap earlier this evening with a runny nose, drooling alot, and screaming her head off. She doesn’t have a fever. I looked and you can see her two bottom teeth about to surface. She seems relieved from chewing on things for brief periods so I do believe it’s her teeth but my other children never had a runny nose.
My daughters recently started teething and has showed signs of a cold. (Coughing, Sneezing and runny nose.) I would just give some Tylenol for the pain.

When teething some parents find that their baby will show signs of having a cold. Runny noses, coughing and general cold symptoms are believed to come from the baby having their hands in their mouth more often. Play it safe and always notify your doctor if symptoms such as this occur.

She could of had a runny nose because she was crying. Usually a cold has nothing to do with teething.

my son always have a runny nose when a tooth pops out. along with it are fever and diarrhea. pedia says it’s not related to teething, but i begged to differ because pedia wasn’t with him each and every time a tooth comes out and these three are present.
